WHS sophomore biology students have been studying about cells and completed a fun project. They created cell models with cakes! Their teacher, Mr. Hufford, has named this photo a "cell-fie!"


Junior High and High School Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on October 14, 2020 from 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm. All conferences will be held in the HS Gym. Remember: wear a cloth face covering, practice social distancing, and stay home if you're experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus and/or are running a fever. Hand sanitizer will be available.

Homecoming will be the week of October 19th and Student Council has many fun activities planned for our students, families, and community members. Keep an eye out for information about the Elementary Dress Up days next week.

The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) is in year 2 of piloting Esports as a competitive activity. Yesterday, Walsh High School’s team, the “PTB Clan”, scrimmaged with the Arvada West JV Purple team. They played Rocket League for a best of 5 match.
WHS PTB Clan members are: Saul Carrillo, Jaron Freiberger, Leyton Jones, Paul Lovato, & Kevin Rodriguez. The team is coached by Mr. Tyler Hufford.
Esports provide opportunities for students who might not otherwise participate in extracurricular activities and opens doors to careers in art, engineering, and game design.

HS football players will have workout sessions after school M-W this week (9-21 to 9-23) with official practice starting on Thursday, September 24th. Our Western Heritage Arts students (Kadence Kunselman, Jaron Freiberger, & Justin Wright) have been busy learning to MIG weld in preparation for an upcoming project - spur making!




The Heifer wrangle program is designed for Freshman and Sophomore students that have an interest in the beef industry. Successful applicants receive a grant to purchase a heifer of their choosing. The heifers are purchased in the spring, raised, cared for, and exhibited at the Colorado State Fair each fall. Chelsea was one of twelve grant recipients and did a phenomenal job! Congrats, Chelsea!
