
Maddox and Keely are getting ready to present their Food Innovation. Maddox and Keely created a snack bar for their project. The snack had restrictions for calories and nutritional value. They created the Rawr Bar. It is a peanut butter and chocolate snack bar with oats, sunflower kernels, mixed nuts, and honey.


Our next competitors are Ava and Averi. The title of their project is Live Like a Boss. They are competing in Nutrition and Wellness. They had to work with a participant for several weeks to assess their current health and wellness. Then they created a three-week meal and mental wellness plan for the participant. Once the three weeks concluded they had to interview their participant to see if the meal plan and mental wellness plan improved their overall wellbeing.


The FCCLA State Competition is taking place in downtown Denver. Last night we attended the opening session. The theme of this year's conference is Running on Rhythm. There are 964 students in attendance at this event and there are 45 different competitions. Students may only compete in one event. Throughout the entire conference, there are different workshops the students can participate in and learn new skills. Tonight there is a Fashion Show for students who competed in the Fashion events. This is followed by a dinner and some FCCLA awards.





Good Morning, First up today is Audrey and Samuel and their Tres Amigos Food Truck. They are competing in Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation. We will know results of all competitors tomorrow morning. Stay Tuned for more announcements.


The HS track meet at Holly this Saturday has been canceled


Next up is Aurora and her Habitat for Humanity project. Aurora had to design a living room and a bedroom for a family of three with ADA compliance furniture and room design. Helping Someone in Need --- The rest of our students will compete tomorrow.



Jaylie and Reece are up first at the FCCLA State Competition. They are competing in Public Policy Advocate. The title of their project is Fund Our Future to advocate for higher teacher pay.

The Annual FFA Calf Fry and Hired Hand Sale is on Thursday, April 11th
The proceeds from the sale of the officers will be donated to the Canadian, TX FFA Chapter who lost their ag farm in the recent fires.


The baseball game scheduled for today at Granada has been cancelled. The game will not be rescheduled.


This week, the 7th grade made pasta and Orange Chicken and tried our hand at California Rolls. Every student made a batch of pasta. We will cook our pasta next week. The California Rolls(Sushi) was a challenge, and we will make another attempt.
