Walsh High School's Service & Leadership Team kicked off the school year with our first volunteer work day on September 9th. We started our day hauling tables over to the the high school so that all students have a place to sit for breakfast. From there we split into groups. Group one worked on weed pulling (Goat Heads) around the bus parking lot and the track. We managed to fill 6 large trash bags!
Group two worked on disassembling the green house and moving the parts to another location on campus (to clear the area for the new school building).
Thank you to all students who participated. Your commitment to service doesn't go unnoticed!
Also, thank you to Mr. Crawford for bringing his trailer to help with the moving, and volunteering to facilitate the greenhouse project.

Dear Walsh Eagles,
Please remember if your student has cold or flu-like symptoms or a temperature over 100 degrees you should keep your student home until 24 hours has passed without medication for fever. Your child also has to be 24 hrs free of Diarrhea & Vomiting/Throwing Up before returning to school.
Other reasons to keep children at home:
-The child doesn’t feel well enough to take part in usual activities. For example, a child is overly tired, fussy, or will not stop crying.
If you are unsure about keeping your child home, please call the elementary school at 324-5400 or the high school at 324-5221.
Thank you for taking care of yourselves.
