Busy day of spring sports! 🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♀️⚾

Walsh School District would like to congratulate one of our very own, Emily Hume, for being awarded with the Boettcher Foundation Scholarship! "The Boettcher Scholarship is a prestigious, merit-based scholarship program in Colorado that provides financial support and enrichment opportunities to high-potential graduating seniors, aiming to attract and retain Colorado's most dynamic thinkers, doers, and difference makers." According to Tiffany Anderson, Senior Director of Programs and Strategic Initiatives, "The Boettcher Foundation's Scholarship selection process is competitive and rigorous." We are so proud of you, Emily! Congratulations! 💜🦅

On Thursday, a group of Mrs. Steinman's students traveled to La Junta to see their art work at the Otero Art Festival. The students were given the option to enter an art piece. The art festival is for 7th - 12th grades. Everyone did a fabulous job! The students enjoyed seeing other art created by students their own age. Avila placed 2nd on both of her entries.

Game time update ⌚️
Monday, April 7th

Junior High Track @ Stanton County for April 3rd, 2025, has been postponed. It will be rescheduled at a later date!

Game Time Update⌚

Walsh Senior, Susana Pantoja, recently completed the certified nurse’s assistant (CNA) classes offered through Southeast Colorado Hospital. Susana spent about a month juggling these classes, her WHS schoolwork, and her part-time job at the Walsh Healthcare Center. She not only excelled at the CNA classes, but she never fell behind with her high school work—some of which were dual-credit college classes. Susana is a hard worker who keeps a positive attitude and always gives her best. We are so proud of you!
