Walsh High School's second year Western Heritage Arts students are learning the art of hand engraving! In year one, Mr. Crawford taught students to fabricate jewelry, belt buckles, and conchos. After adding a GRS Graversmith pneumatic engraver this year, students are learning how to add some engraving flair to the pieces they create!

Walsh High School's Service & Leadership Team kicked off the school year with our first volunteer work day on September 9th. We started our day hauling tables over to the the high school so that all students have a place to sit for breakfast. From there we split into groups. Group one worked on weed pulling (Goat Heads) around the bus parking lot and the track. We managed to fill 6 large trash bags! Group two worked on disassembling the green house and moving the parts to another location on campus (to clear the area for the new school building). Thank you to all students who participated. Your commitment to service doesn't go unnoticed! Also, thank you to Mr. Crawford for bringing his trailer to help with the moving, and volunteering to facilitate the greenhouse project.
