We had a great time at the State FCCLA conference. I am so proud of all our students and how they represented our school. Jocelyn received gold, Emily, Averi, Reece, Jaylie, Lizzy, Avila, and Susana received silver, and River, Audrey and Jamie received bronze. We did have two qualifying for Nationals this year! Susana(Teach or Train) and Aurora(Interior Design) qualified for Nationals that will be held in Orlando.

Emily presented today in the Teacher or Train category. Her presentation was about Occupational Therapy.

River is waiting for her turn to present her Nutrition and Wellness project. Her time was moved up an hour.

Avila and Lizzy competed in Interior Design. The theme they chose was Princess and the Frog.

Reece and Jaylie presented their Repurpose and Redesign project. They recycled a tire into an ottoman.

Next up is Susana. She is presenting in the Teach or Train category. She is using her experience from last year working with preschool. She gave lessons on Spanish.

Jocelyn competed in the Job Interview category. She wants to further her plans for a nursing degree. Her judging consisted of a mock interview for a CNA position.

Aurora just went in to the judging room. She is competing in Interior Design. She was given the option of Harry Potter, Disney, or Barbie as a theme for an Airbnb. She chose Harry Potter.
