Read Across America

Students and staff at our school recently celebrated Read Across America with a variety of activities designed to inspire a love of reading. Throughout the week, teachers organized themed dress-up days, shared favorite books with different classes, and created fun opportunities for students to engage with stories and literacy in new ways.

The week was filled with creativity and enthusiasm as classrooms participated in special reading times, book-themed activities, and school-wide celebrations that highlighted the joy and importance of reading.

A special thank you goes to our librarians D'Ambre Hebberd and Lindsey Alsobrook , who helped coordinate the week’s schedule and many of the activities. Their planning and leadership helped bring the celebration together and ensured students and staff could fully enjoy the experience.

We also want to thank Walsh Auto for donating prizes to those students that went above and beyond in their reading for the week.

Read Across America Week was a wonderful reminder of the important role reading plays in education and the dedication our teachers show every day to make learning meaningful and fun for students.

Thanks to the enthusiasm and creativity of our teachers, Read Across America Week was a tremendous success. Here’s to great books, curious minds, and the joy of reading—"HOORAY FOR READING!!!”
