On March 3rd, Walsh Schools celebrated the 100th day of school with some fun activities and events for the whole school. There were prizes for the 100th student to enter the school and the students PreK-12 enjoyed finding 100 miniature ducks around the school. There were many activities that students K-6th also participated in with mixed aged stations in each classroom. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades wore their homemade 100 day shirts while 3rd-6th graders dressed as if they were 100 years old.
Our festivities continued the week of March 3rd-6th with Read Across America. Tuesday kids brought stuffed animals turning our library into a “Wacky Zoo”. Wednesday was "Sneetch Day" where students were encouraged to "sneetch" on their friends. When students caught someone being kind they wrote down their name and act of kindness to enter them into a drawing for a prize. Thursday the kids came to school and found all of the Wacky Zoo animals in crazy situations and predicaments around the school. We also enjoyed wearing pajamas and crazy socks while reading some of our favorite books. A fantastic time was had by all... students and teachers alike!!
